1. What carpooling on MovMor is
A driver who is already making a trip offers free seats and the passengers share the cost of the journey. The driver makes no profit. MovMor is the platform: it takes the payment, holds it until the trip is done and passes it on. The agreement to travel is between the driver and the passenger, and the terms of service apply too.
2. Price
The price per seat is set by the driver and can never be more than SEK 1 per kilometre of the route, which keeps the trip a cost-sharing arrangement. The price shown to the passenger includes a service fee of 10 % on top of the seat price. The driver pays no commission.
3. Booking
- A seat is held for the passenger for 15 minutes while they pay; unpaid seats are released.
- A driver can accept every booking at once, or approve each request. For a request the card is only reserved until the driver answers; if the driver declines or does not answer in time, nothing is charged.
- A driver must have verified their identity and set up a payout account.
4. Cancelling
The passenger cancels more than 24 hours before departure and gets the seat price back; the service fee is kept. Within 24 hours the passenger gets half of the seat price back. After departure, or if the passenger does not turn up, there is no refund.
The driver cancels and every passenger gets everything back, service fee included. A cancellation counts as a strike; three strikes within 90 days stop the driver from posting rides for a time.
5. The trip
The driver must hold a valid licence, drive a roadworthy and insured car and keep to the traffic rules. Passengers must be on time and behave considerately. Luggage, pets and smoking follow what the ride says. A problem on the trip can be reported in the app up to 24 hours after the planned arrival.
6. Payout
The ride is completed automatically 24 hours after the planned arrival unless the passenger reports a problem. The driver is paid 24 hours after that, and the passenger gets a receipt.
7. Insurance
The driver's own motor insurance covers the passengers. MovMor does not insure the trip.
